this build is beautiful! yeah no need for healsig, just bring dolyak and it'll just be 0's popping off with the occasional 1. big issue here is having your visages up, i ran into that problem trying to cast it after i aggroed the graspings. bad idea. once you aggro them, run back and just wait a few seconds before you start to attack, they can interrupt..anything (cough standing slash).

and if you know the patrols you can easily do all of the smites by timing your running a little (near the end with the oval walkway where there are two patrols on either side and you need to stand in the middle and run past into the little whole like area is the only real "problem".)

Guys, I'm afraid that ANet has nerfed AS/VS.

Max a Warrior can get in Illusion is 12. I tried a 20% enchant upgrade on axe and it's still no good. AS/VS does not last long enough. You can probably still farm the Darknesses if you bring a Energy wep along. But Smites will kill you for sure and there are times when there is no way to be able to cast PR and AS at the same time because of energy.

Move on to W/Rt perhaps?

AV/SV can last 10 seconds with 8/9 (can't remember) illusion. Even with AV/SV down for 1-2 seconds, you can still kill the smites.

na, still works. pump AV/SV to 8 secs, use a zealous weapon of enchanting and you're done

I have modded my axe of enchanting but it's much more difficult than before. I'm thinking of switching to 2 attack skills and replacing PR with DS and WY. Not sure if that will work though.

I'm interseted to hear more from you guys.

Maxed at 12. A warrior is only capable of a 9 second AV/SV without some sort of ench mod. With a monk using Aura and a 20% mod I was just baerly keeping in continuous.

If you're talking about Blessed Aura, that only works on monk enchantments, so it would have no effect on the duration of SV/AV.

It still works-like the person above said, a couple of seconds without SV/AV up is no big deal with the smites. Might take a little longer, but it was never a real quick run anyway.

I've tried it a few times and still like it, but was thinking about going without putting attribute points in axes or swords using.....

this still does enough damage and has good survivability. It saves a bunch of attribute points, i just cant settle on how to distribute them.

Finally settled on
Strength 12+3 (to keep Dolyaks Signet up always)
Tactics 9+4 (increase the damage on riposte and gladiators defense)
Illusion 9 (to make sure enchantments are up all the time, mainly cause i use a +45, -2 while enchanted shield)

i know this isn't optimal, but i'm just getting used to the build and the spawns and this build allows me to ensure i'm alive and still kill the graspings and smites. Once i get familiar with it, i'll probably lower illusion by 1 and bump tactics up by 1. I'll also take out healing signet and add in deadly riposte. (i already switched out sprint for enraging charge)

I also use a furious longsword of enchanting (only 19%) due to the fact that bonnettis is my energy management skill.
